Cookies

Our internet pages use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that do not harm your end device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them or an automatic deletion occurs through your web browser. Some cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your end device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These allow us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising. Cookies necessary for the electronic communication process, the provision of certain functions you desire (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or the optimization of the website (e.g., cookies to measure the web audience) are stored based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing will be based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG); the consent can be revoked at any time. You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), provided this was requested; the consent can be revoked at any time. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

Mandatory legal provisions – especially statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

ProvenExpert also captures your language settings to display the seal in the selected language. The use of ProvenExpert is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the most comprehensible presentation of customer reviews. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing will take place exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. 5. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. The Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies, or perform independent analyses. It only serves to manage and play out the tools integrated via it. However, the Google Tag Manager collects your IP address, which can also be transmitted to Google’s parent company in the United States. The use of the Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the fast and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on its website. The consent can be revoked at any time.

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics allows the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. Here, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, duration of visit, operating systems used, and origin of the user. This data may be assigned to the respective end device of the user. No assignment to a device ID occurs. Furthermore, we can use Google Analytics to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Google Analytics also uses various modeling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and employs machine learning technologies in data analysis. Google Analytics uses technologies that allow the recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Data transmission to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Signals

We use Google Signals. When you visit our website, Google Analytics, among other things, collects your location, search history, and YouTube history, as well as demographic data (visitor data). These data can be used by Google Signal for personalized advertising. If you have a Google account, the visitor data from Google Signal will be linked to your Google account and used for personalized advertising messages. The data is also used to create anonymized statistics on user behavior on our site.

Order Processing

We have concluded a contract for order processing with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics E-Commerce Measurement

This website uses the “E-Commerce Measurement” function of Google Analytics. The e-commerce measurement allows the website operator to analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors to improve its online marketing campaigns. Information such as orders placed, average order values, shipping costs, and the time from viewing a product to purchasing it are recorded. This data can be summarized by Google under a transaction ID, which is assigned to the respective user or their device.

WP Statistics

This website uses the analysis tool WP Statistics to statistically evaluate visitor access. The provider is Veronalabs, ARENCO Tower, 27th Floor, Dubai Media City, Dubai, Dubai 23816, UAE (https://veronalabs.com). With WP Statistics, we can analyze the use of our website. WP Statistics records log files (IP address, referrer, used browsers, origin of the user, search engine used) and actions that website visitors have taken on the site (e.g., clicks and views). The data collected with WP Statistics is stored exclusively on our own server. The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior to optimize both our website and our advertising. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing will take place exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymization

We use WP Statistics with anonymized IP. Your IP address is shortened so that it can no longer be directly assigned to you.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Ads allows us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms at Google (keyword targeting). Targeted advertisements can also be played based on the user data available at Google (e.g., location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can quantitatively evaluate this data by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our ads and how many ads resulted in corresponding clicks. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Data transmission to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Google AdSense (Non-Personalized)

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for embedding advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google AdSense in “non-personalized” mode. In contrast to the personalized mode, the advertisements are not based on your previous user behavior, and no user profile is created for you. Instead, the selection of advertisements is based on “contextual information.” The selected advertisements are then based, for example, on your location, the content of the website you are currently on, or your current search terms. More information on the differences between personalized and non-personalized targeting with Google AdSense can be found at: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9007336. Please note that even in non-personalized mode, Google Adsense may use cookies or comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). According to Google, these are used to combat fraud and abuse. You can adjust your advertising settings independently in your user account. To do so, click on the following link and log in: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. Further information on Google’s advertising technologies can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Google Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Remarketing analyzes your user behavior on our website (e.g., click on certain products) to classify you into certain advertising target groups and then display suitable advertising messages to you when you visit other online offers (remarketing or retargeting). In addition, the advertising target groups created with Google Remarketing can be linked to the cross-device functions of Google. This allows personalized advertising messages, which have been adapted to you based on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g., cell phone), to be displayed on one of your other devices (e.g., tablet or PC). If you have a Google account, you can object to personalized advertising under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

Target Group Formation with Customer Matching

We use customer matching for target group formation with Google Remarketing. In this process, we transfer certain customer data (e.g., e-mail addresses) from our customer lists to Google. If the customers in question are Google users and are logged into their Google account, they will be shown suitable advertising messages within the Google network (e.g., on YouTube, Gmail, or in the search engine).

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognize whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked and how often, and which products were viewed or purchased most frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and which actions they took. We do not receive any information that allows us to personally identify users. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. More information on Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Facebook Pixel

This website uses the Facebook visitor action pixel for conversion measurement. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the collected data is also transferred to the USA and other third countries. This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized. The collected data is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so a connection to the respective user profile is possible, and Facebook can use the data for its advertising purposes, according to the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This allows Facebook to serve ads on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Data transmission to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381. Insofar as personal data is collected on our website using the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). Joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Facebook. The processing by Facebook that occurs after the transfer is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent upon us jointly were set out in an agreement on joint processing. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for implementing the tool on our website in a manner that complies with data protection law. For the security of the Facebook products, Facebook is responsible. Data subject rights (e.g., requests for information) regarding data processed by Facebook can be asserted directly with Facebook. If you assert the data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook. Further information on protecting your privacy can be found in Facebook’s privacy notices: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can also disable the “Custom Audiences” remarketing feature in the ad settings section under https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged into Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of Facebook’s usage-based advertising on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Data Processing by LinkedIn Insight Tag

With the help of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we obtain information about the visitors of our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can analyze, among other things, the professional key data (e.g., career level, company size, country, location, industry, and job title) of our website visitors and better tailor our site to the relevant target groups. Furthermore, we can use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure whether visitors to our websites make a purchase or take any other action (conversion measurement). Conversion measurement can also take place across devices (e.g., from PC to tablet). LinkedIn Insight Tag also offers a retargeting feature that allows us to display targeted advertising outside of the website to visitors of our website, whereby, according to LinkedIn, no identification of the advertising recipient takes place. LinkedIn itself also collects so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, and time of access). The IP addresses are shortened or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymized). LinkedIn members’ direct identifiers are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 180 days. The data collected by LinkedIn cannot be assigned by us as the website operator to specific individuals. LinkedIn will store the personal data collected from website visitors on its servers in the USA and use it as part of its advertising measures. Details can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.

Legal Basis

If consent (consent) has been obtained, the above-mentioned service is used exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. If no consent has been obtained, this service is used based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR; the website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.

Objection to the Use of LinkedIn Insight Tag

You can object to the analysis of usage behavior and targeted advertising by LinkedIn at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out. In addition, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in the account settings. To avoid LinkedIn linking data collected on our website with your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.

Order Processing

We have concluded a contract for order processing (AVV) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a legally required contract that ensures that this provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or after the purpose has ceased to exist. We reserve the right to delete or block e-mail addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the framework of our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. YouTube with Enhanced Privacy

This website incorporates YouTube videos. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode prevents YouTube from storing information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, data transfer to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. So, YouTube – regardless of whether you watch a video – establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network. As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your end device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). This allows YouTube to receive information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts. Additional data processing operations may be triggered after you start a YouTube video, over which we have no control. The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission. If Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Web Fonts to ensure a uniform display of fonts. When you call up Google Maps, your browser loads the required Web Fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and easy findability of the locations specified by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Handling of Applicant Data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, post, or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) as far as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons who are involved in processing your application. The data will then be deleted, and the physical application documents destroyed. The retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for the extended retention no longer applies. Longer retention can also occur if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if legal retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the Applicant Pool

If we do not make you a job offer, there may be an opportunity to include you in our applicant pool. If included, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool to contact you in case of suitable vacancies. Inclusion in the applicant pool is based solely on your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and has no relation to the ongoing application process. The affected person can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted, provided there are no legal retention reasons. The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.

We have integrated OneDrive on this website. The provider is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA (hereinafter “OneDrive”). The website operator has a legitimate interest in a reliable upload area on his website. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
